Transfer Admission

• Saint Xavier is a member of the Illinois Articulation Initiative, or IAI. Our participation in this state-wide agreement allows students to follow a general education curriculum that transfers smoothly from over 100 participating schools into all of the 43 undergraduate programs at SXU.
• Students are welcome to transfer in both Fall and Spring semesters, as well as additional start terms in some programs.
• SXU has specialized transfer agreements with colleges to show transfers how to prepare to transfer to our School of Education and School of Nursing.
• SXU is building a growing collection of Transfer Course Equivalency Lists, and has published them on our web site, so that students who intend to transfer can choose courses that transfer smoothly.
• SXU accepts credit from many sources and counts it toward an SXU degree! Our policies accept:

  • CLEP, Advanced Placement, and Excelsior Exams credit
  • International Baccalaureate
  • Adults can earn credit for life experience through a portfolio review.
