SXU accepts selected Excelsior Exams that substitute certain required courses in the Nursing major. Two (2) nursing exams are available to RN completion students; SXU accepts the exams in Abnormal Psychology, for those who qualify.
CLEP is a standardized credit-by-exam program that offers exams in a wide variety of general subject areas that cover introductory college course material. All students are welcome to participate in the program to test out of core and/or major requirements or to obtain elective credit.
The Records and Advising Office does not serve as a proctoring center for classes or other exam programs, unless specified in these web pages. In the interest of community service, the Records and Advising Office will on occasion permit students, whether affiliated with SXU or not, to take correspondence exams in its office. Such arrangements are made at the discretion of the Records and Advising Office, and a service fee will be charged.
