To All Student Loan Borrowers

Saint Xavier University will participate in the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program beginning July 1st, 2010. Students and parents who previously received loans through the Federal Family Education Loan Program will now borrow through the Direct Loan Program.

ALL students need to complete the following steps. These steps must be completed in order for your Stafford Student Loans to be processed. All steps can be completed at StudentLoans.gov.

1. Complete your Entrance Interview
2. Sign your Master Promissory Note (MPN)

Log on to StudentLoans.gov using your FAFSA pin number (4 digit pin). If you cannot locate your FAFSA pin number, you can request a new one at the Federal Student Aid PIN Web site.

Parents who previously had a Parent PLUS loan will now have to borrow through the Federal Direct PLUS loan Program. All applications can be submitted at StudentLoans.gov.

Verification

• If you have been selected for verification, print a form from the Financial Aid forms page. Please complete and return to the Financial Aid Office.

2010-2011 FAFSA

1. Get a PIN
2. Complete the 2010-2011 FAFSA
3. Enter Saint Xavier University's school code: 001768
4. Submit: The application is not complete until it is submitted.
5. Follow-Up: Check the status of your FAFSA, make corrections, view and print you Student Aid Report

Make Changes to Your Award!

• Do you want to reduce or reject a loan or work study award? You can make these changes online in CLAWS.
